Church Constitution
Our church holds onto the Westminster Confession of Faith. It was
written by 121 Calvinistic men from Great Britain between 1643 and 1648
at Westminster Abbey. Besides being an excellent summary of major
Protestant doctrines, the confession along with the Shorter and Larger
Catechisms, serve as a guide against false doctrines and as a manual of
instruction. Hence, every member should strive to read, understand and
apply the principles and practices contained in it.
Our church is governed according to a constitution. It contains the
church’s objectives, doctrines, and form of government; the main
practices of the members; information on congregational meetings,
elections, the church session, and other related matters. Any
prospective member should be thoroughly familiar with the constitution
and agree to follow its rulings and doctrines. For other details, please
refer to the constitution which is available from the church office on
request. |
