MEN'S FELLOWSHIP

View photos of MF activities here.

MF’s motto is:-
Philippians 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Introduction
MF was founded on 11 April 1990 by a group of Lifers led by Dn George Tan. The group of men meets on every 2nd Friday of each month at 8pm for a time of sharing God’s Words and fellowship. Last year, our main goal was to create more opportunities for our men to be trained in serving God in various areas and ministries. We thank God that we were able to put our men in various teaching and chairing capacities. The men were seriously studying God’s Words so that they may be able to teach others on teachings of Christ.

What MF is All About

Men's Fellowship is the gathering of men together to discuss our lives in the light of our faith and to share our faith and experiences through friendship, prayer, and fraternity. We thank God for providing MF with men who have same mind to serve Him; edifying and serving one another in the LORD. MF seeks to create a community to support and encourage discipleship making and effective Christian living. The challenge of living the Christian life is formidable, without a community’s support, living a honest Christian life becomes impossible.  A Christian is not encouraged to walk and work alone.

Another MF’s objective is to visit the men in our church and the sick. We pray for the sick in accordance to James 5:13-15.

Main Focus of MF in 2010

Our main foci in 2010 are;

  1. To study God’s Words together
  2. To visit men of our church and the sick
  3. To reach out to the unsaved souls.
  1. Study God’s Words

We encourage our men to study God’s Words in accordance to Timothy’s exhortation by participating in the MF Sunday school
.
2Tim2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

  1. Visitation

The book of James encourages us to pray for the sick among us.

James 5:13-15 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

There may be some who are suffering among us. But to such, the Apostle Paul encourages us such that “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us”. Rom8:18

3.         Gospel Debt

We are saved by God’s grace and experienced His goodness in us that we may declare His grace to others outside His Kingdom. We encourage all our men to share God’s love to the unsaved, unknown and unloved.
Roman1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
