Introduction

We thank God for His faithfulness in meeting all our needs and answering our prayers. God provides MF with a group of dedicated men who are enthusiastic in doing something for the Lord and dedicating their time to serve Him in the church. Mature men produce strong families when they begin to guide, govern and guard their households.

Service

MF believes that God saves us for His purpose. He intends that we, the group of people whom He has elected to manifest His glory. Jesus said that you who are Christians are the salt of the earth and the light to the world.

Thus, we should not be just believers in Christ Jesus only but that we should be disciples. MF sees a need to emphasise the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the lives of our born again Lifer brethen. It is a consistent teaching of God’s Words that all Christians should be employed in the works of the Lord Jesus Christ the moment he/she is saved.

Our Activities

The activities that MF is involved in the past 2 years are:-

  • Monthly Meeting
  • Door-to-Door Evangelism
  • Studying The Word of God
  • Prayer Meeting
  • CARE Ministry

Monthly Meeting

We meet on every 2nd week Friday of each month.

The average attendance at our monthly meeting is about 28. We thank God for increased in attendance and pray that God will honour our desire add more men to our meetings. We pray to have 40 in attendance by June 2007.

Door-to-Door Evangelism

MF is encouraged by our Bro Amos and Bro Tiong Meng for their perseverance and faithfulness in obeying God’s command to evangelise the HDB dwellers for the past decade.

About 8 members of the MF are currently participating in the evangelistic works once a month on the 1st week of each month. Since all MF Ex-co members had undergone “The Theory and Practice of Evangelism Course conducted by Rev Charles Seet in 2006, we pray for 100% participation from all of committee members. This will provide us with the opportunities to apply what we learned.

Studying the Word of God

We are currently studying the Epistle to the Romans during the Sunday school hour. The average attendance is about 14. Every participant takes turn to lead each week. The emphasis is on encouraging group learning and active participation in group discussions.

After Romans, we will be studying the Book of James.

Scripture Reading

We are embarking on reading the entire bible in one year.

From 1st March this year, MF encourage members to read 4 chapters of the Bible daily; 2 chapters from OT, 1 chapter from NT and 1 from the Poetry books.

Prayer Meeting

This is a time on every last Sunday of the month that we set aside to a time to pray; particularly for the leaders in the church. We also pray for men in our congregation, MF Committee Members and MF related activities.

We thank God for the breakthrough of good attendance of 17 men on February 2007. We urge all MFer’s to join us in interceding for the church and for each other.

CARE Ministry

Visitation to members’ home is conducted at least once a month. In addition there are also occasional hospital visits. In each visit, both the visitors and the hosts are edified and blessed through prayers, exhortations and fellowship. Life church brethren are encouraged to join this visitation and see how the Lord can use you to be a blessing to others while in return, we are being encouraged and will receive bountiful blessings from the Lord.

Conclusion

It is a great joy to serve the Lord and having sweet fellowship with the brethren. The frequent and regular fellowships have strengthened our bonds and resolve to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for more men to join us in fellowship as we encourage one another to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to God.
